The La Crosse Kiwanis Club is active in the community. The group helps the Salvation Army distribute food, hosts the "Special Day for Special People" event, and makes improvements in the community, like creating a panoramic photographic sign of the scenic bluffs overlooking La Crosse, and a fishing pier in Pettibone Park.
